Projection and Technical Presentation

Mission: The Projection and Technical Presentation Committee exists to promote, encourage, and facilitate the highest possible technical standards in the public presentation of archival moving images and related audio. This work encompasses the provision of and support for education and training, a role in the development of relevant technical standards, and an emphasis on technical presentation practices that most effectively communicate the integrity of original works and, if application, preservation and restoration work that has been carried out on them. The committee seeks to facilitate dialog between programmers, curators, and projectionists, encouraging projection to be seen as an integral element of archival curatorship.
